Pride University August 2-6

Due to the new Corona measures, the big celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Pride has been postponed for a year. The large street and square parties and the boat parade are cancelled. However, small activities will continue, such as the Pride Walk on August 7 and the street party in Reguliersdwarsstraat. For an overview of the activities, see:

The Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and the University of Amsterdam have developed their own programme in collaboration with ASV Gay and the Student Hotel.
The event is called Pride University and will take place during the week of Pride University in the week of 2 to 6 August.

The programme consists of lectures, debates and drinks and will take place in the Student Hotel, address: Wibautstraat 129. You can participate in the program both online and in person.

Provisional programme:
Monday 2/8: Toolbox sexual and gender diversity in higher education – Chantal van der Putten & Luna Pols
Tuesday 3/8: No gold at the end of rainbows. The socio-economic vulnerability of LGBTQIA+ people – André Krouwel
Wednesday 4/8: Gender in the Marketing Blender – Kevin Eckmeyer (he/him)
Thursday 5/8: Queer in art – Isa Kuijer from A.S.V.Gay
Friday August 6/8: Exclusion mechanisms at university, in sports or at work – Maike van Oyen
